An intelligent standalone Fast Ethernet Switch with eight auto-MDIX 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX ports and one 100BASE-FX MMF port, the SMC6709FL2 can connect to a distant backbone up to two kilometers away via its 100BASE-FX MMF/SC port. Its aggregated bandwidth of up to 2.0 Gbps and non-blocking switching architecture make it perfect for in-demand multimedia applications.

The advanced feature set of the SMC6709FL2 TigerSwitch includes IEEE802.1Q VLAN, GVRP and priority queuing to ensure smooth delivery of mission-critical data and security for different multicast groups.
