FUNCTIONALITY

Echo●Suite 7 enables organizations to set user-level monitoring and Internet access policies in both PC-centric desktop/laptop environments and in server-centric, thin client environments such as Citrix and Terminal Server. Echo●Suite 7 enables the comprehensive management of web browsing, file transfers, news, chat, IM and e-mail including encoded attachments. Echo's capabilities also incorporate monitoring and control of the most popular web-based e-mail and IM formats, monitoring keywords and phrases to protect against the dissemination of confidential information or inappropriate content.

Echo●Suite 7 functions are also available as stand-alone modules for targeted use:

IM●Echo

The IM●Echo module provides network administrators with an efficient means to capture, block or allow IM usage and/or attachments in their network. These controls can be adjusted to meet certain time periods so that IM usage can be confined to specific hours.

Website●Echo

The Website●Echo module provides network administrators with a comprehensive tool to monitor and control access to specific websites or general categories of web domains. Using Website●Echo administrators can set web access permissions based on time controls, enabling the lock-down of machines in after-hours periods or providing freer access during personal time for day-extender employees. With Website●Echo administrators can easily exempt trusted websites or domains from the blocked domain list.

Pearl Software also provides Echo●Filters, a web categories plug-in that complements Website●Echo by providing continuous updates to its list of websites categories.

Echo●Counselor

The Echo●Counselor module alerts employees in real-time if they are about to transmit an IM, e-mail or attachment that violates the enterprise's HR, Security or Regulatory compliance policies.

Echo●Throttle

The Echo●Throttle module provides an effective tool to manage bandwidth based on controlling employee network traffic. This module allows the network administrator to increase or decrease bit rate utilization at the user level, regulating the amount of bandwidth a given user or group of users can consume.
