Perimeter's Vulnerability Management Solution Suite includes server and desktop AV, Patch and Configuration Management, as well as a number of network-based and CPE-based security services. This enhanced internal and external scanning technology, combined with the online PCI questionnaire and optional consulting, provides significant enhancements to Perimeter's PCI Compliance Solution Suite.

In addition to supporting Level 1, 2 and 3 Retail Merchants, the suite now enables merchant banks to manage their Level 4 Merchants through a consolidated reporting and management console, rather than manually distributing policies, collecting scans, and reviewing questionnaires. In addition, this enables merchant banks to cost-effectively demonstrate compliance with the recent clarifications issued by the PCI Security Standards Council, and Healthcare companies to demonstrate HIPAA compliance. It also provides additional features for all of Perimeter's Vulnerability Management customers. "Edgeos' notable advances in automated vulnerability assessment and its software-as-a-service delivery model enhances our PCI Compliance Solution Suite and joins our menu of complete compliance solutions for financial institutions, brokers and traders, and healthcare companies," said Doug Howard, Chief Strategy Officer, Perimeter eSecurity.

Unlike other offerings in the marketplace, customers will now be able to perform unlimited internal and external vulnerability scans. An added feature allows for performing internal scans through a downloadable SaaS module on an affordable subscription basis rather than requiring incremental hardware.

Perimeter's Core Vulnerability Management Solution Suite will offer customers and partners five options for performing internal and external scanning in a fully managed or customer configured/managed suite: External scanning offered from Perimeter's network of nationwide data centers For Internal scanning, flexible options are available, including: o A SaaS agent that can be downloaded to any system with internal network access o A Multi-Service CPE Security Appliance for customers who prefer to work with CPE o Internal scanning through a Secure VPN for very small or highly distributed customers A complete Vulnerability Assessment Package comprised of vulnerability management strategy, design, policies, initiation, and on-going analysis, including scan review by a seasoned security expert who can identify known remediation techniques and prioritize risks. Detailed reports are available from Perimeter's secure, integrated, Viewpoint, web portal to help clients prove to auditors and management that the appropriate Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) obligations are met.
